Sofia Ali is an education and training consultant specialising in ethnic minority achievement. Based in London, Sofia has 20 years experience in classroom teaching, teacher development and school improvement in the UK and internationally. She has worked in schools in over 15 education authorities in England developing practical and creative classroom strategies to support the language development of bilingual learners.   Sofia is an experienced facilitator, an accredited Language in Learning across the Curriculum (LILAC) trainer, a How Language Works trainer and a Member of the National College for School Leadership.  She has recently completed the Postgraduate Certificate in Consultancy for Leadership Development at the Institute of Education in London.  Sofia is a regular contributor to both national and international conferences on language and literacy.
